Plavio is a streaming client, not a content provider. Third-party addons control their own content and data practices. Only access content you have the right to watch, and keep addon URLs containing private keys to yourself.

Tap Install, open Plavio, and explore your addons. You can turn that installation permission off again afterward.

Is Plavio really free?
Yes. Plavio is free and open source under the MIT license, with no in-app ads. Third-party addons and services have their own terms and may have separate requirements.
Which devices are supported?
Android phones and tablets running Android 8.0 or newer. Plavio is mobile-only; the Android TV app has been discontinued. This download is not an iOS, desktop, or TV app.
Do I need an account?
No. You can use Plavio without a Plavio Cloud account. Signing in enables optional backup and sync. Ordinary library sync is not end-to-end encrypted; separately protected credential sync has its own passphrase. See the Privacy Policy for details.
How do I add an addon?
Open Addons, tap +, and paste the addon’s manifest URL. Plavio validates the addon and adds its catalogs. Some addons are preconfigured, and you can disable addons you don’t want.
What about privacy?
Optional telemetry is off by default. The app still makes network requests to addon, metadata, update, and other providers. Those services have their own data practices. This website has no analytics scripts or embedded third-party media. Read the full Privacy Policy.
How do updates work?
Plavio can check for a new version and offer to install it. Android may ask you to approve the installation. Automatic checks can be disabled in Settings → About, and official APKs are also available on GitHub Releases.
